The Mackay Down Under Skindiving Club is one of the oldest continuous spearfishing clubs in Queensland, being first formed in 1955. The MDUSC holds two competitions per month weather permitting, with a major two day competition, in memory of Andrew Clough, held in September. Competition locations vary from the coast, to the many offshore islands and inner reefs. The MDUSC now meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at Craig Barnett's shed at the end of Victoria Street.
Any interested spear fisher is welcome to attend. |
